Privacy

We use a simple, privacy-friendly tool to count visits to this site. We do not use cookies for it, and we cannot identify you from it.

What we collect

When you open a page on this site, our analytics provider (Vercel Web Analytics) records:

  • the address of the page you opened, and the time you opened it
  • the site that referred you, if you arrived from a link elsewhere
  • your country, region, and city
  • your browser, operating system, and whether you are on a phone, tablet, or desktop

We look at this in aggregate — how many people read a given post, roughly where they are, and which links brought them here.

What we do not collect

  • No cookies. Nothing is stored on your device, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
  • No tracking across sites. We cannot see where you go before or after your visit, and nothing here feeds advertising profiles.
  • No names, emails, or accounts. Visitors are counted using a temporary code derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. It cannot be traced back to a person.

Pages used to administer the site are excluded from analytics entirely, so our own editing does not show up in the numbers.

If you contact us

If you send us a message through the contact page or by email, we keep what you send us so we can reply. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share it.
